Advanced Input Options

Normally having defined the primary details, pallet size and case style once can simply select Pack to generate case sizes and then pack these optimally on the pallet.

Alternatively an Advanced Options menu can be displayed which helps tackle the following:

Examine alternate collation quantities or a range of values in addition to that specified earlier (12). Perhaps a quantity of 10, 16 or 24 might be employed if the savings were substantial, or you might be prepared to consider a range of values - 6 to 24 - is cost savings were significant.?
Specify that a cylindrical item is being packed. This allows collation patterns which are not just 'rows and columns' but are nested to be considered.
Allow the software to consider using a palletisation arrangement in which the top layer of cases is oriented on-side so as to make best use of the load space. You could then choose from a 'standard' solution and one using an alternate top-layer.
Perform a sensitivity analysis on the product details entered. This applied unique and powerful techniques to adjust (within user limits) the product dimensions so as to maximise pallet fill. This provides the ability to see at a glance what effect very minor changes in product size might have on logistics costs. A 1mm change could save thousands.

Naturally we cannot describe these features in detail here, but the application help screens and user manual - both accessible from most application screens - provide extensive guidance and support.
