PALLETMANAGER has user defined Pallet and Style Databases - the latter holding details on up to 30 different style specifications. When the software is installed a set of realistic default entries are made. The entries enable PALLETMANAGER not only to determine suitable packing allowances (card, layer pads etc), but also to estimate the likely cost of packaging materials. (Costing can of course be set to zero if desired). When later ranking case solutions both transportation costs (based on number of pallet loads / year) and packaging material costs can be considered. The solution packing the most cases / pallet may not necessarily be the most cost effective!.
